As a marketing and business development representative in a cleantech market intelligence startup, your role will involve driving the growth of the company's customer base and revenue. You will be responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies to raise brand awareness, generate leads, and nurture customer relationships. Additionally, you will be expected to identify and pursue new business opportunities through research and networking, and to collaborate with other teams within the company to improve sales processes and maximize profitability. Your focus will be on understanding the needs of customers and the market in order to develop effective marketing campaigns and sales pitches, while also staying up to date with industry trends and developments. Overall, your goal will be to increase the company's visibility and profitability by building strong relationships with customers and driving sales growth.​
About the Job:
  • Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies to drive customer acquisition and retention, including campaigns across various channels such as email, social media, and content marketing
  • Conduct market research to identify potential clients, analyze industry trends, and stay up-to-date on the competitive landscape​
  • Create compelling sales pitches and proposals to effectively communicate the company's value proposition to prospective customers​
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, providing ongoing support, gathering feedback, and identifying opportunities for upselling or cross-selling​
  • Work collaboratively with other teams, including sales, product, and engineering, to ensure alignment on business goals and strategies​
  • Attend industry events and conferences to represent the company, network with potential customers, and gather insights on industry trends and best practices​
  • Analyze sales data and customer feedback to continuously refine marketing strategies and improve customer satisfaction​
  • Develop partnerships and collaborations with other organizations in the cleantech industry to expand the company's reach and drive new business opportunities​
  • Build and manage a pipeline of potential clients, ensuring that the sales process is efficient, effective, and aligned with the company's goals and values​
  • Continuously educate oneself on the latest trends, technologies, and developments in the cleantech industry, and share insights and best practices with colleagues and clients
Skills & Qualifications:
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Proven experience in marketing and business development, with a track record of success in driving customer acquisition, retention, and revenue growth
  • Knowledge of the cleantech industry and its trends, including renewable energy, sustainability, and clean technology
  • Familiarity with marketing tools and technologies such as CRM systems, marketing automation software, and data analytics platforms
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data to drive insights and inform decision-making
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, engineering or a related field, with 0.5-3 years (including internships) of relevant experience in marketing and business development
  • Existing work permit for Austria
